First, save the recording
Voices hide in places that get cleared out: old voicemails, a phone due to be replaced, a chat app. Look in:
- Voicemail. On an iPhone, open Phone → Voicemail, choose the message and use the share button to save it. On Android it depends on the phone and carrier; many voicemail apps have a save or share option.
- Voice memos and messaging apps. Voice notes in messaging apps can usually be forwarded or saved as files.
- Videos. A clip of them talking or laughing is a recording too. TraceSound takes the sound straight from the video file.
Keep a copy somewhere safe — a computer, a backup drive — whatever you decide to do next.
Then, keep it as a glyph
- Open the studio and upload the voicemail, memo or video.
- Choose a style and colour. You will see their voice drawn as a glyph, and you can scan it before paying anything.

Questions
Will it sound like them?
Yes. TraceSound keeps the real recording — their breath, accent and pauses. It never recreates a voice with text-to-speech or AI.
The recording is noisy or quiet. Can I still use it?
Usually, yes. Try it: you can make the glyph and hear it back before you pay anything.
Can the whole family have one?
Yes. One glyph can be printed, engraved or tattooed as many times as you like, and every copy plays the same voice.
Who else can hear it?
